Travel, Venue and Accommodation

The conference will be located at the Waikato Tainui College for Research and Development in Taupiri.

Room Rates for Delegates (through Orbit):

36 x Studio rooms – Which has one room with a double bed, study desk, heater, bar fridge and shower ensuite.
Bed + breakfast rate is $143.00 (inc gst)

9 x Lounge room suite – Which has a double bed in one room and a sofa, study desk, heater, bar fridge and shower ensuite.
Bed + breakfast rate is $165.00 (inc gst)

1 x Family suite – Which has a double and single in one room and 2 singles in another, plus the lounge area with study desk, heater, bar fridge and shower ensuite.
Bed + Breakfast rate for Family of 4 is $279.00 (inc gst)

Each of the accommodation settlements have 15 rooms each and have a full kitchen and common lounge area.

As the venue is a 20 minute drive from Hamilton, and approx 1 hour from Auckland, attendees may wish to catch a shuttle or rental car - see map. Alternatively there are buses that commute between Hamilton and Ngaruawahia (5 minutes drive from Hopuhopu) where attendees may prefer to stay in the local township. 

For those who would prefer to stay in Ngaruawahia township, Arrow Lodge Motel sits a 5 minute drive from Hopu Hopu.

If you prefer a view, the beautiful Hillside Hotel is a ten minute drive from the venue.

Hamilton city is a 20 minute drive from the conference venue, so should any delegates wish to find accommodation here, this will also be a viable option. Buses run to Ngaruawahia daily, or rental cars are also available. Shuttles can be arranged daily for groups.

GETTING TO HAMILTON  FROM AUCKLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:

Most international flights arrive at Auckland International Airport. Hamilton is approximately 1.5 hours drive south of Auckland. For visitors intending to stay longer in New Zealand, check out http://www.newzealand.com/us/. Flights: A short connecting flight from Auckland to Hamilton may suit overseas visitors. Check Air New Zealand website for times and prices.
Hamilton International Airport has domestic airline connections with some New Zealand cities and a few Australian destinations.

Rental car options are available both in the airport concourse and via complimentary shuttle to rental car operators a short distance outside the airport itself.
